This lot comprises five stoneware jugs, featuring a two-tone glaze in shades of brown and beige. Four of the jugs are clearly marked “Sheppy’s Farmhouse Cider” and depict a horse-drawn cart with the inscription “2 Pint, 61 cl vol.” These jugs also feature a secondary mark with an image of a farmhouse and the words “Sheppy’s Farmhouse Cider, Three Bridges, Taunton, Somerset.” The fifth, larger jug is unmarked but shares the same two-tone glaze and overall style. The base of this larger jug bears a maker’s mark that includes “Made in England” and “1970” along with partially obscured additional text.
