Description
A traditional side-by-side double-barreled shotgun, featuring blued steel barrels and a bright metal boxlock receiver. The wooden stock and fore-end exhibit fine checkering on the grip areas, and the buttstock is fitted with a ventilated rubber recoil pad. The firearm is a break-action type with a top-lever opening mechanism, twin triggers, and a tang-mounted safety marked ‘SAFE’. The barrel rib is marked ‘E.J. CHURCHILL. (GUN MAKERS) LTD.’ and ‘8. AGAR STREET, STRAND. LONDON.’, with ‘E.J. CHURCHILL’ also present on the receiver. This example is consistent with an ejector model.
