A Japanese tsuba, or sword guard, crafted from dark-patinated iron. The multi-lobed form features a central nakago-ana flanked by two hitsu-ana. The surface is extensively decorated in relief on both the obverse and reverse sides with a design depicting a dragon winding through stylized clouds, with the dragon’s head prominent on the obverse. No visible artist’s signature (mei) is present.
