Description
A pair of Royal Mail ‘The Who’ First Day Covers, likely made of paper or cardstock. Both covers feature commemorative postage stamps depicting various ‘The Who’ album covers and band imagery, with denominations including “1ST” (First Class) and “£2.00.” A prominent target-style ‘The Who’ logo and black and white photographs of the band members are visible on both. Each cover bears a “FIRST DAY OF ISSUE LONDON” circular postmark dated “17.10.2024.” One cover is addressed to “Mrs Susan Lane, 22 Chiltern Drive, Ackworth, Pontefract, West Yorkshire WF7 7DW,” and includes a Royal Mail return address for “Tallents House” in Edinburgh.
