Description
A pair of British Royal Mail First Day Covers, issued on January 20, 2022, commemorating ‘The Rolling Stones’. Each cover, made of white cardstock, features a unique arrangement of Rolling Stones-themed postage stamps, forming a miniature sheet, denominated ‘1ST’ and ‘£1.70’. The stamps depict various album covers, band portraits, and live performance photographs. Both envelopes bear a ‘FIRST DAY OF ISSUE’ postmark with the date ‘20.1.2022’ and the text ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll’. The upper cover’s cancellation also clearly shows ‘DARTFORD’. The covers are addressed to ‘Mrs Susan Lane’ in Pontefract, West Yorkshire.
