Description
A pair of Royal Mail First Day Covers celebrating the heavy metal band Iron Maiden, issued in 2023. Each envelope features multiple “1ST” class postage stamps depicting the band’s mascot, “Eddie,” and various live performance images, alongside “IRON MAIDEN” branding and “FIRST DAY OF ISSUE LONDON” postmarks. The covers are accompanied by two corresponding information cards. These cards provide a concise band history, noting their founding in “London’s East End in the mid-1970s,” their “Senjutsu” album (released 2021), their “long-serving mascot, Eddie,” and an image of band members with their custom “Ed Force One” Boeing aircraft.
