Description
Two sets of Royal Mail First Day Covers, both constructed from paper. The first set, dated April 15, 2021, is themed “Classic Science Fiction” and features multiple stamps depicting iconic works and authors such as Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and H.G. Wells’ The Time Machine, with visible denominations including £1.00, £1.70, and £2.55. The second set, dated August 10, 2023, is dedicated to “Terry Pratchett’s Discworld,” showcasing various characters like Rincewind, Sam Vimes, and Granny Weatherwax on its stamps, with denominations up to £2.00. Both FDCs are clearly marked “Royal Mail First Day Cover,” and the Discworld FDC is addressed to “Mrs Susan Lane, 22 Chiltern Drive, Ackworth, Pontefract, West Yorkshire, WF7 7DW.” All items feature an illustrative, contemporary graphic style.
