A Royal Mint presentation pack, dated 2008, commemorating ‘The 50th Anniversary of the Country Definitives (1958-2008)’ and ‘The 25th Anniversary of the £1 Coin’. This modern British commemorative set, issued by The Royal Mint, is presented in a paper-based pack bearing the serial number “Nº 12742”. It includes several Queen Elizabeth II definitive stamps marked “POSTAGE” and “REVENUE”, some featuring a commemorative “LONDON SW1” postmark dated “29.9.2008”. The set also contains a collection of six metallic “ONE POUND” coins, comprising two larger specimens (one commemorating a ’25TH ANNIVERSARY’) and four smaller coins specifically designated for ‘WALES’, ‘ENGLAND’, ‘SCOTLAND’, and ‘NORTHERN IRELAND’.
