Description
A group of two modern British philatelic collectibles related to Queen Elizabeth II. The first item is a “HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN’S PLATINUM JUBILEE” First Day of Issue envelope or presentation folder. It contains multiple coloured stamps depicting the Queen at various ages and events, with visible dates including 1957, 1966, 1978, 1980, 1999, 2002, and 2020, and values such as “1st” and “£1.70.” The folder also features the quote “I have in sincerity pledged myself to your service.” The second item is a “ROYAL MAIL STAMPS” presentation pack (Pack no. M27) titled “IN MEMORIAM HM QUEEN ELIZABETH II.” This pack is housed in a clear plastic sleeve and features four black and white portrait stamps marked “1926-2022” with values of “2nd,” “1st,” “£1.85,” and “£2.55.” Both sets are constructed from paper and cardboard and are protected by their original packaging.
