Description
A pair of Great Britain (GB) 2008 Queen Elizabeth II (QE2) ‘Working Dogs’ Post Office Highly Quality (PHQ) cards. Each card features a large, full-color photograph of a dog, designed with a perforated border to simulate a postage stamp. A white silhouette of Queen Elizabeth II is present in the upper left corner of each simulated stamp. The first card depicts a Golden Retriever wearing a yellow “Dogs for the Disabled” vest and holding an envelope, marked “1st” for first-class postage and bearing the texts “Assistance Dog” and “EUROPA” (corresponding to SG 2806). The second card features a Border Collie running across a grassy field, marked with the denomination “69” and the text “Sheepdog” (corresponding to SG 2809). Both items are encased in clear protective plastic sleeves.
