Description
A Miniature Library of William Shakespeare, comprising approximately 46 small-format volumes housed within a dark-stained wooden tabletop bookshelf. The books are uniformly bound in dark red/maroon material, likely leather or fine cloth, featuring gilt lettering on the spines and a central gilt crest on the covers. Visible titles include ‘King Lear, ‘ ‘Othello, ‘ ‘The Sonnets, ‘ ‘Romeo and Juliet, ‘ ‘King Henry IV Part I & II, ‘ and ‘King Richard III, ‘ among others. This ensemble suggests a late 19th to early 20th-century collected edition of classical literature.
