g Victoria (1837-1901), gold Half-Sovereign,1897, crowned, veiled bust left, T.B. initials below truncation for engraver Thomas Brock, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding,VICTORIA· DEI· GRA· BRITT· REGINA· FID· DEF· IND· IMP·, rev. St George and dragon right, date in exergue, 4.00g (Hill 492; Bull EGC 1394; S.3878). Polished with some residual colour, otherwise good very fine.
