Victoria (1837-1901), silver Halfcrowns (2), 1884, no serif, 1885, young head left, legend VICTORIA DEI GRATIA. rev. crowned quartered shield of arms, within laurel and oak wreath, legend surrounding BRITANNIARUM REGINA: FID: DEF:, 14.20g and 14.13g respectively (Bull 2764, 2765; ESC 712, 713; Davies 594, 595; S.3889). Generally toned about extremely fine or better; Edward VII (1901-10), silver Halfcrown, 1907, bare head right, DES below truncation for engraver George William De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII DEI: GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms, garter motto in French surrounding, HONI. SOIT. QUI. MAL. Y. PENSE., beaded border surrounding, Latin abbreviated legend in upper half, FID: DEF: IND: IMP:, denomination and date in lower half, 14.07g (Bull 3573; ESC 752; Davies 1515; S.3980).
