St George slaying the dragon with sword, broken lance to lower left, date in exergue with B.P. designer initials, S mint mark at centre of groundline, 4.00g (Hill 524; Bull EGC 1674; QM 294; S 3977B). Toned almost extremely fine.
Condition report:
Calendar year mintage 538,000.The Latin legend on the obverse translates as Edward the Seventh, by the grace of God, King of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India.
