Edward VI (1547-53), fine silver Shilling, third period (1551-53), facing crowned bust, rose to left, value to right, initial mark tun, linear and beaded circles with large letter legend surrounding, EDWARD: VI: D; G; AGL; FRA; Z: hIB; REX:, rev. long cross fourchée over quartered shield of arms, legend, POSVI DEV; A DIVTOR E; mEV; 6.04g (N.1937; S.2482). Toned, short hairline scratch to right of shield, weakness to outer legend with a charming portrait, very fine.
Condition report:
The legends translate as on the obverse Edward the Sixth by the grace of God, King of England, France and Ireland, and on the reverse I have made God my helper
