g George VI (1936-52), gold Proof Five Pounds, 1937, bare head left, initials HP below neck for Humphrey Paget, GEORGIVS VI D:G: BR: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP:, rev. St George and dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue, edge plain (Hill T46; L&S 1; Bull EGC 1454; WR 435; S.4074). Once cleaned with faded cloud spots at top of reverse field and in exergue, larger faint patch in obverse field in front of face, otherwise brilliant, some scuffs on cheek, good extremely fine.
