St George and dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue, weight 39.97g (S.3864). Elizabeth II (1952-2022), gold proof Five-Pounds, 2002, crowned head right, IRB initials below for designer Ian Rank-Broadley, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, ELIZABETH. II. DEI. GRA REGINA. FID. DEF, rev. Shield of Arms within open laurel wreath, date below, TN monogram to the right for designer Timothy Noad. 39.94g (S.4401). A very pleasing set, with the 1887 having light hairline marks, possibly once cleaned otherwise Extremely Fine, 2002 a lightly toned proof state, accompanied by leatherette box and Certificates of Authenticity.
