Elizabeth II (1952-2022), Shilling, 1962, English reverse, with obverse die break flaw, laureate head right by Mary Gillick, legend and beaded border surrounding, + ELIZABETH. II. DEI. GRATIA. REGINA, rev. crowned shield with three English lions, date either side, legend surrounding, FID DEF and ONE SHILLING, edge milled (ESC 1475EE, Bull 4475; Davies 2420; S.4147). Obverse die break at rim from 2 to 5 o’clock giving a pronounced raised cud overlapping tops of letters in legend, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as MS63 Mint Error, unusual and rare. Elizabeth II (1952-2022), Decimal Two Pence, 1993, struck on incorrect planchet, likely cupro-nickel, crowned head right designed by Raphael Maklouf, legend and beaded border surrounding, ELIZABETH II D. G. REG. F. D. 1993, rev. struck en medaille, Prince of Wales feathers in crown with ICH DIEN banner motto, all over numeral 2, TWO PENCE above, beaded outer border, 6.10g (cf.S.C4). Lightly toned, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as MS63 Mint error, unusual and rare.
