g George III (1760-1820), gold Third Guinea, 1803, second type, first laureate head right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS III DEI GRATIA. rev. large crown centre, date below, Latin legend surrounding commencing at top, + BRITANNIARUM REX FIDEI DEFENSOR, edge milled, 2.77g. (Schneider 625; Bull EGC 873; MCE 455; S.3739). Polished with some residual dirt still in the legends, fine.
Condition report:
The Latin legends translates as on obverse George III by the grace of God and on the reverse King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith.
