William IV (1830-37), Proof bronzed copper Farthing, 1831, bare head right, W.W. incuse on truncation, date below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GVLIELMVS IIII DEI GRATIA, rev. inverted die axis, Britannia seated right with trident and shield, emblems in exergue, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, BRITANNIAR: REX FID: DEF:, 4.73g (Peck 1468; S.3848). Toned, one small tone spot each side, otherwise as struck.
Condition report:
The Latin legends translate as on the obverse William the Fourth by the grace of God and on the reverse King of the Britains, Defender of the Faith.
