This is a modern commemorative special edition card honouring the Royal Air Force history of the Vickers Wellington bomber and the personnel of No. 20 Operational Training Unit (OTU). The card is hand-signed in pencil by Flight Lieutenant J.O. Lancaster, DFC. John Jo Lancaster was a distinguished World War II bomber pilot and later a renowned test pilot. He holds a significant place in aviation history as the first person to survive an emergency ejection using a Martin-Baker seat, an event that occurred in 1949.
