A professionally printed Special Edition commemorative card honouring the Supermarine Spitfire and No. 2 Squadron, Royal Air Force. This item is hand-signed in black ink by Flight Lieutenant David Henry Glyn Ince, DFC (1921–2017). The card features the squadron’s historic motto Hereward and includes printed text confirming the signature is that of a veteran who flew Spitfires with No. 2 Squadron during the European campaign. David Ince was a highly distinguished pilot who served with No. 193 and No. 257 Squadrons flying Hawker Typhoons, for which he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in 1945. During the liberation of Northwest Europe, he also flew Spitfires in a tactical reconnaissance capacity with No. 2 Squadron.
