Description
This is a modern commemorative Special Edition card dedicated to the Avro Lancaster heavy bomber and No. 630 Squadron of the Royal Air Force. The card is hand-signed in black ink by Flight Lieutenant Alan Payne, DFC, a veteran who served with the squadron in Europe during the Second World War. No. 630 Squadron was famously based at RAF East Kirkby and operated Lancaster bombers as part of No. 5 Group. Condition report:
The item is in excellent, near-mint condition. The cardstock remains bright white with no evidence of foxing, yellowing, or age-related staining. The edges are sharp, and there are no visible tears, creases, or folds. It is currently preserved in a clear plastic Ryman brand protective sleeve.
