Description

This is a special edition commemorative signature card produced to honour the service of the Vought Corsair aircraft within the British Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm. The card is hand-signed in black ink by Lieutenant H.K. (Keith) Quilter, DSC. Lieutenant Quilter was a distinguished pilot with No. 1842 Naval Air Squadron, operating from the aircraft carrier HMS Formidable during the Second World War. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for his gallantry during operations in the Pacific Theatre, notably during the strikes against the Japanese battleship Nagato. The card is printed on heavy off-white cardstock with a decorative double-line border. The primary headings are printed in green, with the descriptive text and attribution in black.
