Description

This is a printed “Special Edition” commemorative ephemera card produced on heavy white cardstock. The card features a decorative navy blue triple-line border and is hand-signed in blue-black ink by Flight Lieutenant David Ince (1921–2017). David Ince was a highly regarded RAF pilot during the Second World War, awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) for his service. While best known for his time flying Hawker Typhoons with No. 193 and No. 257 Squadrons, this card commemorates his service with No. 41 Operational Training Unit (OTU), where he flew the North American P-51 Mustang. The card was likely produced for a veterans’ event or as part of a limited edition aviation collectable series.
