Description
This is a hand-signed Special Edition commemorative card dedicated to the Bristol Blenheim light bomber and its service with No. 17 Operational Training Unit (OTU) of the Royal Air Force. The card is personally autographed in black ink by Flying Officer Thomas Sayer, DFM. The inclusion of the Distinguished Flying Medal (DFM) post-nominals signifies that Sayer was decorated for acts of valour, courage, or devotion to duty whilst flying in active operations against the enemy as a non-commissioned officer. The signature is bold, clear, and well-preserved with no signs of ink migration or fading. The item is currently housed in a clear plastic protective sleeve. A small vertical mark visible in the upper centre of the provided image is a light reflection on the plastic sleeve and does not affect the card itself.
