Description

This is a modern commemorative special edition card printed on white textured cardstock, featuring a decorative double-line border in a gold-brown tone. The item is hand-signed in black ink by Squadron Leader Allan Scott, DFM (1921–2020). Scott was a highly distinguished Royal Air Force pilot, recognised as a Spitfire ace for his service during the Battle of Britain and the Siege of Malta. Post-war, he served as a test pilot with No. 27 Maintenance Unit, where he flew the De Havilland Mosquito, the iconic multi-role combat aircraft known as the ‘Wooden Wonder’. The card was likely produced for collectors of aviation memorabilia or as part of a limited series featuring RAF veterans.
