Description
A signed commemorative aviation card, produced as a “Special Edition” for collectors of Royal Air Force ephemera. The card is printed via offset lithography in dark blue ink on white card stock and features a decorative double-line border. It is personally hand-signed in black ink by Flight Lieutenant (Sir) Albert Thomas Lamb (1921–2019). Sir A.T. Lamb was a distinguished RAF veteran who served as a pilot during the Second World War, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC). Following the war, he entered the diplomatic service, eventually serving as the British Ambassador to Kuwait and Norway, and was appointed CMG and KBE. The card specifically honours his service with No. 56 Operational Training Unit (OTU), a unit tasked with training pilots on the Hawker Hurricane.

The item is in excellent, near-mint condition. The card stock remains bright white with no evidence of foxing, yellowing, or age-related staining. There are no visible tears, folds, or creases to the corners or edges. The signature is bold, clear, and well-centred. The item is currently housed in a clear protective plastic sleeve.
