This is a modern commemorative Special Edition card produced for the military aviation collectables market, dating from the late 20th or early 21st century. The card is dedicated to the Hawker Hurricane aircraft and No. 615 (County of Surrey) Squadron, Royal Auxiliary Air Force, featuring the squadron motto By our united force. It is hand-signed in black ink by Warrant Officer Eric Carter (1920–2021). Carter was a notable RAF veteran who served with No. 615 Squadron and was a member of Force Benedict, the secret mission to defend the Soviet port of Murmansk during the Second World War. The card is in excellent, near-mint condition. It is printed on clean, white cardstock with crisp blue typography and a double-line border. There is no evidence of foxing, toning, tears, or folds. The corners remain sharp. The item is currently housed in a protective plastic sleeve.
