This is a commemorative special edition ephemera card honouring the Bristol Blenheim light bomber and its service with No. 113 Squadron of the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. The card is hand-signed in black ink by Squadron Leader James Ian Blair, DFM. Blair was a highly regarded pilot who earned his Distinguished Flying Medal while serving as a Sergeant Pilot with No. 113 Squadron during the North African Campaign in the Middle East. The card features the squadron name and their motto, Swift to vengeance. Printed text at the base confirms the provenance: This Special Edition card has been personally signed by a Veteran who flew in the Bristol Blenheim while serving with No 113 Squadron in the Desert.
